Work Placement Officer: Louise Logan in Student Services
Each year many of our students enjoy a work placement with employers across the Fylde in a variety of settings, and there is also a large programme of volunteering through which students work in hospitals, schools and industries.
A work placement gives you an insight into your chosen career and the experience you need to give you the best chance when applying for jobs in the future. It also brings lots of other benefits including:
- Enhances your CV
- Enriches your UCAS application
- Brings opportunities for future employment
- Improves skills such as team-work, organisation and time-management
- Increases confidence
You can liaise with our Work Placement Officer to help organise a placement you have sourced yourself, or you can receive advice and support on what placement or volunteering opportunities would be suited to your interests. Placements can also be arranged all year round.
