Travel Directions
The easiest way to get to Blackpool from the motorway is to leave the M6 at junction 32 and join the M55. You can follow this route right into the centre of Blackpool, but to reach the College, it is best to turn right at junction 3 (Kirkham), leaving the motorway to take the A585 northward.
Continue up to the first major junction with traffic lights. Turn left here and you will be on the A586 going west toward Blackpool. At the next set of lights (Singleton petrol station) there is a fork in the road; you should bear left here, continuing west. Follow the A586 for about two miles further through Poulton-le-Fylde and you will find Blackpool Old Road to your right (you will see a park with bowling greens to your left). Turn right, and a quarter of a mile or so along Blackpool Old Road, you will find The Blackpool Sixth Form College on your right after a small hill. Note that there are two other schools on Blackpool Old Road; our College is the last of the three if you approach by the route described here. We have the words "The Blackpool Sixth Form College" clearly marked on the front of the building to avoid any confusion!
If you overshoot the turn-off onto Blackpool Old Road, there is a roundabout a quarter of a mile or so further along the A586. This is the only roundabout on the route described here apart from the motorway junctions.
