Sport Academies

The Sixth Form offers a wide range of sport and other physical activities and the majority of our students choose to participate in one or more of them. Many take part for exercise and enjoyment alone, whilst others are members of one or more of our successful College academies.

We run Sports Academies in basketball, hockey, netball, rugby union, rugby league and football. Many of these teams compete in the British College’s league and national schools competitions, which gives students the opportunity to compete at national level and be selected for British Colleges’ national squads.

Basketball Academy students raise money for Sport Relief

Students from Blackpool Sixth Form's Basketball Academy raised £425 for Sport Relief by going not one extra mile for Sport Relief but seven extra miles.

Instead of walking a mile, as Sport Relief encourages, they walked eight miles from Starr Gate in Blackpool to Cleveleys.
