Netball Academy

Below is all the information you will need to keep up to date with all that is happing with our Netball Team.

The Netball Academy provides girls aged 16 -19 the opportunity to train in an excellent environment as well as further their education. The aim is to improve the technical operation of the players through enhanced awareness, to progress players' knowledge and understanding of the game and to increase participation, as well as to develop players who wish to compete at the highest level and to encourage the skills of those who wish to coach, administer and referee the sport.

The players receive regular coaching and they also have the chance to play in the British Colleges League, Cup and Lancashire League Competitions.

The objectives of the Academy are to:

  • Improve performance by developing technical and tactical awareness.
  • Improve knowledge and understanding of the game.
  • Increase physical fitness boundaries.
  • Develop recruitment processes to increase participation.
  • Improve success and reputation.
