Diploma in Fashion & Clothing

The course covers many elements of professional practice from the fashion industry. After tuition in a number of basic techniques students are encouraged to develop their knowledge in a highly personalised way. Students immerse themselves in activities relating to fashion industry job roles such as clothes design, fashion photography and graphic design. Experienced specialists and practising artists deliver the course in our spacious, purpose built open plan studios. Industry standard equipment ranges from Apple Mac computers and design software to quality sewing machines and over-lockers.

Did you know? Recent research shows students studying design are more likely to secure a job related to their studies than is the case in any other vocational area.

Specific requirements

At least a C in any Art or Design subject at GCSE or a pass at BTEC First Diploma in any Art or Design subject is accepted for entry. Students not having a formal art qualification will be required to bring a portfolio of their work to interview/enrolment.

What will I study?

Students will learn a variety of Art and Design skills such as experimenting with a variety of materials and methods of collage,
