English Language

English Language at Blackpool Sixth Form involves looking at how language works in society and how we use language in our everyday lives. You’ll cover three different topics in the first year: Language and Power, Language and Technology and Language and Gender and you’ll develop your skills of analysis and evaluation. This course allows you to showcase your creative talents too as you will be required to write in a number of different styles for your coursework modules.
Did you know? Each year our students get the opportunity to go on a trip to Stratford and London.

Grade B in GCSE English Language preferred, but if students with a grade C are enthusiastic and are willing to attend an English Language Summer School day before the start of term then they are welcome to apply.
