Extended Diploma / Diploma in Engineering

The BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Engineering is an exciting new qualification which will provide an excellent pathway into careers in engineering and many other areas of modern technology. The course will build your knowledge and skills across the main types of engineering. You will work mainly as part of a project team, experiencing the different roles of the professional engineer. You will work on real engineering tasks and will use practical work to develop solutions. As part of the assessed work, you will complete a project based on a real brief from a local engineering employer. You will benefit from extensive links with engineering companies and local universities.
Specific requirements
You must have at least a grade C in GCSE Maths and CC in Double Award Science (or the BTEC equivalent). If you have taken three separate sciences at GCSE, then you should have at least a C grade in Physics.
