Specific requirements
Students must achieve at least a grade D at GCSE Maths. Students with E,F and G grades will take Adult Basic Skills Numeracy.
What will I study?
The course aims to improve your range of mathematical skills and techniques in Number, Algebra, Handling Data and Shape, Space and Measure. There is the possibility to resit the exam in November if you have previously attained a grade D at GCSE.
Assessment
80% Written Examination.
20% Coursework.
Where does it lead
Many advanced courses and many careers require you to have at least grade C in GCSE Mathematics.
