Make sport part of your life and you will reap the rewards. Here at Blackpool Sixth Form we offer A level Physical Education. Come and study here and you will receive high quality teaching and learning in spacious, well-equipped classrooms. Whatever your practical strengths we can accommodate them to ensure you are assessed in your strongest area to maximise your marks.

Assessment
60% exam and 40% practical in both years.
AS year
- 60% of final grade from a 2 hour written exam
- 40% of final grade from practical (2 of perform/officiate/coach)
A2 year
- 60% of final grade from a 2 hour written exam
- 40% of final grade from practical (1 of perform/officiate/coach)
Where does it lead
Entry to any sport-related course at University such as Sports Coaching, Sports Development, Sports Therapy, Sport and Exercise Science. Possible career opportunities include PE teaching, personal trainer, sports therapist, sports psychologist, sports development officer, sports nutritionist. (Please note that for a career in physiotherapy it is more important to have A levels in sciences rather than PE).
