Former student and author returns to Sixth Form after 25 years

Jinx Fashion Show at the Hilton Hotel
Business students Lauren Nelder and Hannah Liptrot deserve praise for their organising of the Jinx Fashion Show at the Hilton Hotel on Wednesday 4th March showing off designs by Amy Chen.
Amy, who is one of the Sixth Form's International Baccalaureate Diploma students, showed off designs based on an Alice in Wonderland theme.The event also included performances from Performing Arts and Music students.
The event managed to raise over £800 for Cancer Research UK and prizes of more than £1000 were raffled off at the event to guests.
The students organised the entire event including booking the venue, arranging the entertainment, promoting the show and creating the business plan.

"Breaking Stereotypes" Competition Winner
This is the winning entry of the Respect Week “Breaking Stereotypes” Competition 2009 by Joshua Brent, making a statement for diversity and against discrimination.
Snow Photograph Competition
Whilst the snow was a challenge to our daily services at the start of January, it also transformed our world visually and changed the way we need to behave. Students were asked to send in their photographs of the Fylde landscape, townscape, friends or the college in our Snow Photograph Competition.

Little Boots returns to the College for TV appearance
Former student Victoria Hesketh, aka Little Boots, returned to the College in October to film for a Channel Four programme. She recorded tracks in our recording studio and gave our magazine students an interview.

The group from the College's Eco Council were all guests of our partner school in Izmir, Kipa 10 Lisesi. The visit marks the end of a busy first year of an EU supported exchange project which focuses on Climate Change.
