League Tables show College Amongst Top 3 in Lancashire
The national government A level league tables show that The Blackpool Sixth Form College has shot up the table to become the best college or state sixth form in the Fylde and the 3rd best state college in Lancashire for the average score per student.

In the Blackpool league table we have leapt four places from seventh to third, passing a number of local independent schools and school sixth forms. This is an huge achievement considering the number of students who study at the College.
Felicity Greeves said, "We had more than 650 A level students in our Year 13 and within that a very broad spectrum of learners, which makes our achievement even better."
The A level league tables are based on the individual college's average point score. This is calculated as the sum of the points awarded to each student using a scoring system based on what grades our students achieve. This is divided by the number of students entered for each Level 3 A level, BTEC or Key Skills.
This week it was announced the College has made a dramatic shift in our A level individual point scores, which has risen a whopping 65 points to 866.5.
