Making Space for Faith!

Rome 2011Faith at Blackpool Sixth remains a focal point for many of our students.

The Christian Union meets on a regular basis to explore and offer support regarding many of the issues faced by young Christians today. Students from the Christian Union enjoyed the experience of celebrating mass with Pope Benedict at the beginning of the year.

The Buddhist centre continue to be regular visitors at the college offering support through meditation sessions. The sessions are designed to reduce stress round the time of exams and always prove a popular activity with students.

Pictured right: Religion, Ethics and Philosophy students thoroughly enjoyed a visit to Rome where they explored the ancient roots of Christianity in tours of the Vatican, Sistine Chapel and the Catacombs. Students were treated to seeing the Pope deliver the Angelus.
