What will you study and other information about A LEVEL Economics

Where does it lead?

A lot of students go on to study economics at universities such as Manchester, Durham, and Leeds and we have had a student in recent years go on to study at Yale in the US. Students have also moved onto prestigious apprenticeship programmes including BAE systems and at local accountancy firms such as Champion to complete their AAT qualifications.

FORMER STUDENT SUCCESS

Former student Rachel Abbott left Blackpool Sixth in the summer of 2022 after successfully completing A levels in Maths, Business, and Economics. Opting not to immediately pursue a traditional path into the workplace or university, Rachel embarked on an apprenticeship journey.

In September 2023, she commenced a project management degree apprenticeship. This distinctive program involves attending university one day a week, working towards achieving a BSc in Project Management, while dedicating the remaining four days to practical application, splitting her time between on-site and office environments.
