Facilities Hire
Blackpool Sixth is situated centrally between Blackpool and Poulton-le-Fylde. The college is approximately 10 minutes’ drive from Blackpool town centre and is 20 minutes’ walk from Layton and 30 minutes’ walk from Poulton train stations. Blackpool Sixth is also easily accessible via the local bus services.
We have invested heavily in our facilities in order to provide an excellent learning environment for our students. Most recently we have invested £5.5 million in a new theatre, two drama studios and new classrooms as well a new catering facility and a Sports Hall.
The primary purpose of the sixth form site is for the education of students attending the college. We do recognise, however, the benefit these facilities can bring to local community groups or larger organisations.
We have the flexibility to offer various combinations of rooms and depending on the combination and length of hire we may be able to offer discounted prices. We are also able to offer catering with most of our events, for full details and prices you will need to contact our Events Coordinator. It is important to note most prices in this booklet are basic prices per hour and these may be subject to change depending on staffing levels and equipment needed to cover your event.

Theatre
The Theatre is a fully fitted 284-seat venue with professional sound and lighting facilities. The seating is tiered, which enables the audience to have a full view of the staging area. The tiered seating can also be retracted, creating an impressive conference style facility.
Please note that no staging is provided due to tiered seating. The overall size of the theatre is 305sqm, the size of the performance space depends on how many seats you require.

Committee Room
Our Committee Room is an impressive multi-functional room, which can seat up to 25 people. There is a single glass wall, which looks out onto the front of the building and also has spectacular views across Blackpool. We can set the room up for a variety of events such as boardroom meetings, interviews, presentations and training exercises. The room includes a projector, machine for hot and cold water and or hospitality can be requested via our catering department to ensure your guests are as comfortable as possible.

classrooms
All of our classrooms are exceptionally modern in their design and provide a great space for groups. They all include seating for up to 24 individuals, a whiteboard and a projector.

Relish
The new facility, named by the students as “Relish”, offers a seated social space for up to 200 individuals. The area has a beautifully modern and fresh design with two striking glass walls around the building. This area is great for hosting guests before an event in the theatre or as a large conference area. This area looks particularly impressive when dressed with decorated tables, making it a great space for corporate evening events. Sports Hall
Our newly refurbished Sports Hall caters for all sports and we regularly host bookings from football, badminton and basketball groups. The Sports Hall is has fully fitted male and female changing facilities and a spacious mezzanine area, which includes a fitness suite, classroom and viewing gallery.

dance studio
Our dance studio includes mirrored walls, professional flooring and blackout curtains. The overall size of the dance studio is 50sqm.

CAR PARK
We have three car parking facilities which are available as part of your hire. These parking facilities include a set of preferential bays close to the entrance, which we can reserve for any special guests you may have.
