2024 Summer Examination Results – Results days
- 15th August 2024: A level and vocational level 3 results 08:00
- 22nd August 2024: GCSE and vocational level 2 results 08:00
Emails will be sent to students' college email addresses with their results information from 08:00. Results will also be accessible from the Student Portal until September 2024.

2024 Post Results information
Level 2 and Level 3 summary post results services information for Summer 2024 examination results
Post Results services will be available for a time limited period from results day onwards. The examinations team process the post results applications on the day of receipt, subject to the submission of a fully completed and signed application form and payment being made.
Information on how to access the Post Results Services will be shared with students nearer to the time of results release.
Each awarding body has information on Post Results services which are available to students if they feel they have done better than the result received.

Access to Scripts
If a student wishes to discuss their results with curriculum staff they can request a digital copy of their exam script here as a starting point for the discussion and to help decide if a Review of Marking service application is appropriate.
Reviews of Marking
Requests received after the relevant internal deadline will not be accepted.

Clerical check (service 1) - a check of all clerical procedures which lead to the issue of a result. This service includes the following checks:
- That all parts of the exam paper have been marked
- Marks have been recorded/added up correctly
- Special consideration has been applied (where appropriate)
- The grade boundaries have been applied accurately Exam boards aim to provide an outcome to a clerical check request within 10 calendar days.
Review of marking (service 2) - this is a review of the original marking to ensure that the agreed mark scheme has been applied correctly. It will also include a clerical check. The awarding body will have trained its reviewers to conduct reviews of marking accurately and consistently. If you request a review of marking there are three possible outcomes: -
- Your original mark will be confirmed as correct and there will be no change to your grade
- Your original mark may be raised and this may or may not result in a change of grade
- Your original mark may be lowered and this may or may not result in a change of grade
- Awarding bodies aim to provide an outcome of a review of marking requests within 20 calendar days.
Priority review of marking (Priority service 2)
This service is only for students whose university or other higher education place depends on the outcome. Priority review of marking offers the same services outlined for a review of marking but you will receive the outcome sooner. Awarding bodies aim to provide an outcome to a priority review of marking requests within 15 calendar days but an outcome is usually received within a few days.

GCSE November examinations 2024
The GCSE November 2024 examination timetable is as follows:
GCSE English Paper 1: Tue 5 Nov am

GCSE Mathematics Paper 1: Wed 6 Nov am
GCSE Mathematics Paper 2: Fri 8 Nov am
GCSE Mathematics Paper 3: Mon 11 Nov am
The college has an assessment process in place which considers many factors in determining the cohort who will be entered for exams in the November GCSE exam season. Students will be advised individually by the relevant curriculum department if they are re-sitting GCSEs in November.
Special Consideration application submission deadline – 15 Nov 2024

Autumn Mock season 2024
The college Autumn mock season is scheduled to take place during November for vocational subjects sitting January 2024 exams.
All students are expected to attend their mock exams and individual timetables and additional information will be issued nearer the time.
Vocational external assessments and examinations January 2025
Many vocational courses at both Level 2 and Level 3 require students to sit an external examination or assessment as part of the course and the examination information is available here for those taking place in January 2025. Like the summer examination schedule these dates are set externally by awarding bodies and the Joint Council for Qualifications so it is important for students to attend exams according to the timetable information they receive.
The January 2025 vocational external assessment and examination timetable will be made available in November 2024 and students will receive their individual exam timetables in early December 2024.

Spring Mock season 2025
The college Spring mock season is scheduled to take place between Monday 26 February and Thursday 7 March 2025
- Week one: 24 Feb – 27 Feb A level subjects (U6), GCSE (all years) & vocational (U6) sitting summer 2024 exams
- Week two 3 Mar – 7 Mar A Level subjects (L6) & vocational (L6) sitting summer 2025 exams
All students are expected to attend their mock exams and individual timetables and additional information will be issued nearer the time.
A Level Art examinations 2025
All students in the final year studying A Level Art, Combined Art, Photography, Textiles and Graphics are required to complete a final assessment conducted under examination conditions. This is scheduled over three 5 hour sessions between March and May.
Individual student timetables will be released via email to students' college email account during the Spring term 2025.
A-Level language oral examinations 2025
The oral examinations generally take place during April and May of the students final year of study and individual student timetables will be released via email to students college email account during the Spring term 2025.

Special Consideration
Special Consideration is a post examination adjustment to a candidate’s mark or grade to reflect temporary injury, illness or other indisposition at the time of the examination/assessment. The Special Consideration application can only be submitted by the college to an awarding body once the circumstances are verified and evidenced. If a student has concerns that their performance in an exam has been affected for any of the reasons specified they are invited to discuss their circumstances with their Personal Mentor in the first instance. Applications can only be submitted once an examination has taken place and the deadline for submission to the Examinations team will be published for each exam season and information can also be sought by contacting the Examination team directly via email.

Certificates
Certificates are not immediately available after the summer results have been published. Awarding bodies send them to the college by early November and then they are checked for accuracy before being made available for collection. Students will receive an email to advise when the collection window opens.
Lost Certificates
If you have lost your certificates the college is unable to help you with getting replacements. You will need to contact the awarding body yourself to request a ‘statement of results’.
