Adverse Weather Procedure

Any closure of the Blackpool Sixth, due to severe weather conditions, will be advertised here and on the home page of the website as soon as a decision is made.

During periods of potential snowfall and other adverse weather conditions, the sixth form will assess the situation each morning and will endeavour to make the decision by 7:30am. 

Our decision will depend mostly on whether the busses are running or not.  If in any doubt refer to the website before leaving home. If there are no updates you must assume Blackpool Sixth is open.

What happens if the sixth form will be closed?

• A decision will be made, where possible, before 7:30am
• The website home page will display a large notice stating the sixth form will be closed
• This page will clearly state at the top that the sixth form is closed
• If there is no notice you must assume the sixth form is open
