The Blackpool Sixth community is once again celebrating a superb set of A level and vocational level 3 results. Ofqual recently announced that results would be comparable to pre-pandemic levels. The college’s results have indeed returned to the exceptionally high levels achieved before the pandemic.
Blackpool Sixth Principal, Jill Gray, commented, “What an amazing year this has been! In my final year as Principal, I could not be more proud of our students and the results they have achieved. Despite the unprecedented challenges of the last few years, the students have worked incredibly hard and have shown an unswerving commitment to their futures; their levels of resilience have genuinely astounded me.
Alongside these wonderful results, the students have also developed a range of new skills and experiences which will be of great benefit to their future success whether at university or in employment. Of course, none of this would have been possible without the exceptional dedication, passion and professionalism of our amazing staff, who continually give their all and inspire our students to thrive and succeed. We are also incredibly grateful for the invaluable support of our parents/carers and employers.

A LEVEL SUCCESS
Sarah Grogan
Congratulations to Sarah Grogan for her outstanding achievements! Sarah, a former student of Montgomery Academy, has recently received A* grades in maths and physics, as well as an A in economics. We are thrilled to announce that Sarah will be attending Cambridge University to pursue her studies in economics. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors and have no doubt that she will continue to excel. Way to go, Sarah!
Alice Burr
Congratulations to Alice Burr on her outstanding achievements, she gained a grade A in Drama and Theatre Studies, B in Music, and A* Psychology. As a former student of LSA Technology and Performing Arts College, Alice has demonstrated her dedication and hard work throughout her academic career. We wish her all the best as she moves on to her next destination. Well done, Alice!
Isaac and Ethan Selley
Twins Isaac and Ethan Selley are both celebrating excellent results today. Isaac gained a triple distinction star in his BTEC Level 3 Sports and Exercise course and will now progress to UCLan to study sports journalism. His brother Ethan achieved straight A* grades in maths, chemistry and physics and will now move onto Lancaster University to study mechanical engineering.
Tom Fairhurst
Congratulations to Tom Fairhurst from Saint Aidan's Church of England High School for achieving outstanding A-level results! With A*s in chemistry, mathematics, and physics, Tom has proven himself to be an exceptional student. We are thrilled to hear that he will be attending the University of Edinburgh. Emily Pickworth
Congratulations to Emily Pickworth from Saint Aidan's Church of England High School! She just received her A level results and achieved A* grades across the board in biology, chemistry, mathematics and psychology. Jazmin Graham
Congratulations to Jazmin Graham from Baines School for her outstanding academic achievement at Blackpool Sixth! Thirisha Varatharajan
