INDUCTION DAY ONE
Induction Days - Tuesday 1st or Wednesday 2nd September
You will be scheduled to attend a half-day induction on one of these dates. Attendance is essential to ensure a smooth and successful start. During your induction, you will:
- Explore college facilities, support services, and key procedures
- Learn how to access your timetable
- Collect your college ID card and lanyard
- Familiarise yourself with the campus
- Get hands-on with our online learning systems
You will receive an email mid July confirming the exact date and time of your induction.
Start of term – Thursday 3rd September
Your normal timetable begins on Thursday 3rd September. You’ll be able to access it through the student portal (CEDAR). We’ll notify you by email when it’s available, and you'll gain full portal access during your induction.
What to bring on the Induction Day
To support your learning from day one, please bring:
- A laptop or tablet (see below)
- Pens/pencils
- A4 pad of paper
- Headphones (for online activities)
- A bottle of water
We encourage all students to bring a digital device (laptop or tablet) to lessons to help blend classroom and online learning. More details about our Technology Ready Scheme, including financial support and loan devices, are available here.
