Course Programmes

At Blackpool Sixth you will follow a full-time study programme which will set you on course for future success.

Apart from your chosen subjects, your study programme will also include Pastoral mentor support sessions and a careers education, and the option to include:

Personal development through Career Academies
Enrichment
Work experience

Level 2: The Foundation Programme

The Foundation Programme is perfect if you just missed the entry requirements for our Level 3 programmes.

A one-year option, with the chance to progress to Level 3 the following year
Gain further qualifications at Level 2
Develop the skills needed for future success

Level 3: A Level

Our A Level study programmes provide excellent preparation for university and higher apprenticeships. You can include up to three A Levels in your study programme – there’s plenty of flexibility.

Level 3: Combined

Our Combined Programme gives you the opportunity to create a personalised package of study that includes both vocational and A Level subjects.

This is ideal if you want to keep your options open for university or employment and works particularly well when grouping related courses.

A vocational study programme is a great choice if you want to focus on a particular industry or career path.

Or choose a double option and combine with an A Level
Includes qualifications such as BTECs and CTECs
Study one large vocational course (equivalent to three A Levels)

T Levels are new qualifications designed in partnership with employers. They combine classroom learning with industry placements and are equivalent to three A Levels. You’ll develop both academic knowledge and real-world experience.
