Current, relevant, and controversial. Learn about the key political issues affecting the UK and the US. The study of politics will help you understand how the UK and US governments function and why.

Our students have the opportunity to meet current serving local MPs and councillors, as well as organising Question Time events prior to national elections. We also have a thriving Politics Society to discuss the most current issues.

There will be opportunities to discuss local and national issues with local MPs, candidates and councillors. There may also be the opportunity to visit Parliament in London.
Where does it lead?
The course will prepare you very well for continued study at University. Politics students progress to study a range of other academic subjects such as History, English, and Law. Of course, you could progress into the civil service, or even become an MP. Many politics students also progress into legal, business, and media professions.
