This course, offered as part of our Foundation Programme, provides an excellent foundation in business and enterprise. It teaches a wide variety of skills that will be of use to whatever further study or career route you take in the future.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
To join this programme you will need 4 GCSEs at grade 3 (or equivalent). One of either English language or maths needs to be at least a grade 3 whilst the other needs to be no less than a grade 2.

The course is assessed through projects and case studies based on realistic business situations. This helps you practise problem-solving, decision-making, and applying knowledge in ways that mirror the workplace. Guest speaker videos are used to help students apply their knowledge to individual businesses.
Some units specifically look at career planning, recruitment, and selection. This helps you understand the application and interview process while reflecting on your own strengths and areas to improve.
The qualification is designed to lead on to Level 3 study or directly into work placements/apprenticeships, so employability is built into both the skills you learn and the next steps available to you.
Where does it lead?
Progression into level 3 courses as part of the Transition Programme. The course is an excellent foundation for a very wide range of further study opportunities, especially those related to business.
