Students Shine Bright at Blackpool Sixth Winter Showcase
Published: 16th Dec 2025Talent, teamwork and show-stopping performances
Our Winter Showcase brought together our Upper and Lower Sixth students from BTEC Performing Arts, Musical Theatre, and Dance for a one-night-only celebration of talent, creativity, and hard work. The performances, choreographed and created by our students and teachers, highlighted months of dedication and imagination as part of their course assessment.
Our audience enjoyed an incredible mix of acting, singing, and dancing, with some pieces offering a sneak peek at our upcoming production of Legally Blonde The Musical, hitting the stage in March 2026 — tickets are available on our website!
We were delighted to welcome dancers from CAT The Lowry, led by former Blackpool Sixth student Zoe Norbury, and supported by the CAT dance teaching team. Choreographed by Nicola Boyes, the piece gave these talented young dancers from across the North West a fantastic opportunity to perform in a larger theatre and be inspired to aim even higher.
Lucinda Campbell, Head of Performing Arts, Music and Media at Blackpool Sixth, said: "We are so proud of the professionalism, energy and commitment of our students, both on and off the stage. We’re excited for our students who will soon be auditioning for prestigious dance schools and providers, and wish them the best of luck."
Our Winter Showcase put our students firmly in the spotlight, and we’re eager to see them continue to take centre stage with every opportunity that comes their way.
